PELVIC HEALTH PHYSIOTHERAPY

Pelvic floor physiotherapy focuses on the treatment of external and internal muscles, ligaments and joint structures of the pelvic floor. 


This treatment is done one-on-one in a private treatment room providing treatment for common issues surrounding:

  • Urinary incontinence (bladder leakage)
  • Bladder urgency 
  • Constipation
  • Prolapse
  • Pregnancy (prevention and treatment)
  • Labour and delivery prep 
  • Postpartum (prevention treatment and recovery)

VESTIBULAR REHABiliTation

Vestibular Rehabiliation is a branch of Physiotherapy that helps to reduce or eliminate balance issues caused by vestibular disorders. 


Common vestibular disorders that physiotherapy can help with include:

  • BPPV (Vertigo)
  • Dizziness
  • Visual disturbance (Gaze instability)
  • Imbalance/Fall Risk 

MUSCULOSKELETAL/ ORTHOPEDICS

Orthopedic Physiotherapy is the care of your musculoskeletal system, which includes your muscles, joints, tendons, nerves, and ligaments.  


This includes the treatment of aches and pains, acute and chronic injuries, pre and post operative rehabilitation, and strengthening/conditioning. 


Everything from neck and back pain to muscle strains and joint sprains.


Individualized treatment may consist of education, therapeutic exercise prescription, dry needling, manual therapy and activity modification. 

DRY NEEDLING

Trigger Point Dry Needling is a conjunct treatment commonly used to treat patients with myofascial pain. The technique is done by finding a "taut band" within the muscle tissue and using an acupuncture needle to release the tissue. Dry needling can help to relieve pain, decrease muscle tension, and increase range of motion.
